Yesterday, Sydney had its Lafayette Square moment. Thousands of people showed up to peacefully protest against Israel President Issac Herzog visit to Australia and his country’s ongoing genocide of Palestine. Police are trying to spin a narrative that they were ‘threatened’ by protesters. I have video evidence to the contrary priving that the police were the aggressors at yesterday’s anti-genocide protest. They assaulted us, ambushed us, fired tear gas and pepper spray at us, and stampeded us through the streets. I thought I was going to die last night.
